Craft Corner: Santa Treat Holders

Written by Heather Addis on November 27, 2020.

Looking for a festive and inexpensive gift for coworkers, neighbors or friends? This is the perfect option. You can’t go wrong with an adorable, Santa inspired treat holder. You can fill them with cookies, candy or a small succulent. So, turn on a Hallmark Christmas movie and get to crafting!

Supplies:
Red yarn
White Yarn
Glue gun
Glue sticks
Flower pots
Black buttons

1. First, run a small band of glue around the base of the flower pot. Quickly add red yarn and hold in place until the glue dries.

2. Continue to wrap the red yarn around the flower pot until you reach the lip of the pot. Continue to wrap the yarn overlapping the layers three or so times. Glue down the end using your glue gun.

3. Run a small band of glue around the top of the flower pot and glue white yarn in place. Continue to wrap the white yarn around the entire top of the flower pot.

4. Add two black buttons to front of the flower pot and now it’s time to fill our Santa Christmas treat holders!
