Experience the final days of the holiday season with a spectacular light display at Lights of the South now through December 30. Walk or take a hayride through miles of displays and finish your night with s'mores.
City of Augusta Christmas Tree Light-Up
Augusta kicks off the holiday season with holiday lights and fireworks at the Augusta Christmas Tree Light-Up on December 9 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Augusta Common. Bring a coat and lawn chairs as you enjoy the official lighting of the downtown Augusta Christmas tree and a firework spectacular to officially welcome the season of cheer.
Mistletoe Market 2023
Experience the Mistletoe Market at Augusta & Co. on December 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This market will be full of products and gifts from local Augusta businesses and feature pop-up shops from vendors throughout Augusta’s River Region.
Augusta Christmas Parade
Kick off the holiday season with the Augusta Christmas Parade on December 9 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Enjoy the Christmas season with decorative floats and catch a glance of Santa and a few of his reindeer as they journey through upper Broad Street and proceed between 6th and 13th Streets.

Experience Kevin Gates LIVE at the “Only the Generals'' tour on December 15 at the James Brown Arena at 8:00 p.m. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana rapper gained popularity with his distinctive style and captivating lyrics, he has captured the attention of fans worldwide. Admission: $45 - 150.

Experience the acclaimed youth choir Creative Impressions at their annual showcase “Behold the Star” on December 16 at the AU Maxwell Performing Arts Theater at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $20. Group and senior discounts available.

Check out this NEW Authentic Augusta Experience, Augusta’s Black Caddies - Men on the Bag on December 16 at the Augusta Canal Discovery Center. You’ll play a role as a new hire and be put to work to run the loom that creates the cloth manufactured in this 1800’s era manufacturing mill. Admissions is $27 - $29.
