Promenade & Paint - Augusta’s Public Art

Check out this NEW Authentic Augusta Experience, Promenade & Paint - Augusta’s Public Art on May 2 and May 6 at Humanitree House. Take a curated tour of Downtown Augusta's public art with Augusta Adventures guide Michael Wolff culminating in a mural making experience at Humanitree House hosted by local artist, Baruti Tucker where you will become the artist as you paint a portion of a mural! Admissions is $45. 

World Ballet Series: Cinderella

Experience the magical world of Cinderella, at World Ballet Series: Cinderella on May 3 at the Miller Theater at 6:00 p.m. An enchanting story for all ages with a wonderful dose of humor, the majesty of classical ballet, and the promise of “happily ever after”. Admission is $26.25 to $95

Girl Named Tom LIVE

Enjoy the distinctive harmonies and heartfelt performances, Bekah, Joshua, and Caleb Liechty of Girl Named Tom on May 4 starting at 6:30 p.m. This small-town sibling trio won the hearts of America while becoming the only group to ever win NBC’s “The Voice.” In addition to their chart-topping covers (“River,” “The Chain,” & “Dust in the Wind” among others), GNT writes original music that will almost certainly project them to becoming the best-known harmony trio of their generation. Admission is $30 to $75. 

Moonlight Music Cruise featuring Roger Bellow & Friends

Pack a picnic and enjoy a relaxing evening on the Augusta Canal for the Moonlight Music Cruise featuring Roger Bellow & Friends on May 5 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $27 for adults and $25 for seniors 60+, military and students.  

James Brown Birthday Get Down

Come celebrate at the James Brown Birthday Get Down on May 6 from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Augusta Museum of History. We’ll be celebrating what would have been the 90th Birthday of The Godfather of Soul, James Brown. This concert will feature legendary James Brown trombonist Fred Wesley & The New JB’s with special guest, J.A.M.P. Band (James Brown Academy of Musik Pupils), and local funk jam band Funk You plus special guest DJ’s. In addition to the music, enjoy food trucks, beer, concessions, art installations and kids’ activities. Admission is FREE

The Augusta Air Show

Don’t miss the 2023 Augusta Air Show featuring the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds at the Augusta Regional Airport on May 13-14. The Augusta Air Show will also feature appearances from C-17 Globemaster III Demo (Cargo Aircraft) • Red Bull Helicopter • F-16 Viper Demo Team • SOCOM Para-Commandos • Kevin Coleman • Attack Helicopter Demo • P-51 Mustang Demo • Red Bull Air Force • Air Force Heritage Flight • Buck Roetman. Admission is $25 - $189.

Fireworks Paddle

The weekend is a great time for kayaking with Two Dudes and a Boat Kayak Rental & Tours. Enjoy the Fireworks Paddle on May 13 starting at 7:00p.m. This guided kayaking tour takes you down the river to the 15th St. Bridge and to SRP Park for 15-minute Augusta Green Jackets fireworks spectacular. Admission: $20 - $40 and varies per event. 

Kroc to Lock Bike Ride 

Kick off National Bike to Work Week with the Kroc to Lock Bike Ride on May 21 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) - 4:00 p.m. The 10-mile ride will start at Kroc Augusta, proceed up the Augusta Canal Towpath to the Headgates (or turn around anywhere along the way) and then head back to the green space at the Kroc for a post-ride picnic! Tickets are $25 - $35.

YELP Augusta Event: It’s Neat to Be Elite at Café Dulce

See what it’s like to be a member of the Yelp Augusta Elite Squad on May 22 starting at 7:00 p.m. at Cafe Dulce. Enjoy exclusive goodies from Cafe Dulce and LIVE music by Will McCraine. Memorial Day Fireworks Paddle (Sunday)

Sculpture Trail

Enjoy the Augusta Sculpture Trail tour! The trail features 14 beautiful sculptures by nationally renowned artists on display in downtown Augusta. These new pieces of public art can be found along the Riverwalk, Broad Street, and the Augusta Common. This is brought to you by the Greater Augusta Arts Council.

Augusta Saturday Market at the River

Swing by the Augusta Saturday Market at the River where artists and craftspeople line the 8th Street entrance to the Riverwalk every Saturday in downtown Augusta from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. offering unique, handmade wares and mix in with local chefs and tastemakers selling ethnic fare, locally roasted coffee, fresh baked goods and regional produce.
