MWR Star is an initiative to recognize exemplary employees in MWR. People who go above and beyond to assist MWR customers and their co-workers. One individual is chosen monthly to be featured as our star, spotlighting details about themselves and their position within MWR.
1. How long have you worked for MWR?
I started working for Fort Gordon MWR back in October 1, 2018.
2. What do you do for MWR?
My position with the MWR is the Survivor outreach Services Coordinator. (And Also support any other program within the Army Community Service, when the duty calls and they ask for help)
3. Where are you from?
Born in Dundee, UK. Raised in Iraq. Immigrated to Albany, Ny in 2010. (All over)
4. What do you enjoy doing in your off time?
Taking the kids for outdoor activities, Swimming, Running track, and Target practice.
5. What are some words of wisdom that you would like to share?
If you can’t award someone for their good deeds, at least make sure to thank them.
6. What do you enjoy about working for MWR?
To be honest, MWR is like another family beside my own. Diverse, Huge number of experienced supervisors and leadership. Most importantly, MWR provided me with sense of belonging to a team.
