MWR Star - Jerome Winters

Written by Jasmine Franklin on December 7, 2018.

MWR Star is an initiative to recognize exemplary employees in MWR. People who go above and beyond to assist MWR customers and their co-workers. One individual is chosen monthly to be featured as our star, spotlighting details about themselves and their position within MWR.

Jerome Winters, a Motor Vehicle Operator at the Recycling Center, has been working with MWR for about 16 months. He is originally from Georgia, specifically a small town about 40 miles west of Atlanta named Carrollton. One of the things Carrollton is known for is the Carrollton Greenbelt – the longest closed loop bike trail in the state.

Jerome loves to spend time with his wife. They use to drive to different cities on the weekends before they got their dogs. He is a man who believes deeply in God and the word; His favorite scripture being “For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life – John 3:16.” Jerome loves working for the MWR because of the closeness he experiences daily with co-workers. He especially feels closely connected to the people at the recycling center. They are like brothers to him – arguing about sports, clowning each other when they make small mistakes, eating lunch together everyday and respecting each other on a daily basis.
