MWR Star is an initiative to recognize exemplary employees in MWR. People who go above and beyond to assist MWR customers and their co-workers. One individual is chosen monthly to be featured as our star, spotlighting details about themselves and their position within MWR.
1. How long have you worked for MWR?
I have worked for MWR for six and a half years.
2. What do you do for MWR?
I am currently the field and warehouse assistant for youth sports, but I was a CYPA for the School Age Center for 5 years before this position.
3. Where are you from?
I'm a military brat so I've spent my life bouncing from place to place, but I was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.
4. What do you enjoy doing in your off time?
I love playing basketball and finding new places to eat in Augusta.
5. What are some words of wisdom that you would like to share?
You are what you think. If you have a negative outlook that is what you will project to everyone, if you have a positive outlook people will recognize and appreciate that.
6. What do you enjoy about working for MWR?
I love working with the kids at the programs! They make every day interesting and even though it can be challenging it is so rewarding to be there to help the children.
