MWR Star is an initiative to recognize exemplary employees in MWR. People who go above and beyond to assist MWR customers and their co-workers. One individual is chosen monthly to be featured as our star, spotlighting details about themselves and their position within MWR.
1. How long have you worked for MWR?
I have worked for MWR since April 2013.
2. What do you do for MWR?
I am the management assistant to the Director of MWR.
3. Where are you from?
That is kind of a loaded question. I am a military spouse so I have lived in many places. I was born in Jeannette, Pennsylvania and moved to Dover, Delaware when I was 16 so I consider both Pennsylvania and Delaware home.
4. What do you enjoy doing in your off time?
Spending time with family and friends is my favorite thing to do in my off time. I also love doing crafts and glamping (I like to travel in our RV).
5. What are some words of wisdom that you would like to share?
Always treat others as you would like to be treated and always be kind because you never know what battles people are fighting. Smiling can make people feel happier- if you see someone without a smile give them one of yours.
6. What do you enjoy about working for MWR?
I love working for MWR because it gives me the opportunity to serve the Military and their Families. I truly love being part of the Military Community. Military Families move so often and go to places that are unfamiliar and new. MWR provides a multitude of services which helps to give the Military Families a sense of continuity and familiarity because every Army Installation has MWR.
