MWR Star is an initiative to recognize exemplary employees in MWR. People who go above and beyond to assist MWR customers and their co-workers. One individual is chosen monthly to be featured as our star, spotlighting details about themselves and their position within MWR.
1. How long have you worked for MWR?
I began my journey with MWR in January 2003. I have been with Fort Gordon MWR since 2007.
2. What do you do for MWR?
I have had several jobs within Army Community Service since 2007, with my most recent being a Domestic Violence Victim Advocate.
3. Where are you from?
I was born and raised in the beautiful Gulf Coast town of Sarasota, Florida.
4. What do you enjoy doing in your off time?
I enjoy the theater. I have a passion for being on the stage. If I could do anything in this world on a daily basis, it would be acting in movies or on TV.
5. What are some words of wisdom that you would like to share?
We have all just experienced what could very well have been the worst year of our lives. As we continue to be faced with the current real-world situation of COVID-19, please remember to patient and kind to those around you. You may not be aware of what hardships they have endured this past year and continue to endure as we begin 2021. Your smile and kind words may be the brightness a person needs in their hours of darkness. Always choose love.
6. What do you enjoy about working for MWR?
MWR has been my second family for over 20 years now. Not only have I have made lifelong lasting friendships during my adventures with MWR, I continue to have the opportunity to give back to the military community which has given me and my family so much. I love you all!
