Ethical Leadership in Service

#
Note: This event has already passed.

Join Family Advocacy for an in-person ethics training for individuals who touch the lives of those impacted by harmful behaviors. During the Ethical Leadership in Service training, learn and understand the definitions of boundaries and power, and identify the difference between crossing and violating boundaries. The training will also review case studies of vulnerability verses power, harassment, gaslighting and Intimate Partner Violence and Domestic Violence.

ACS is thrilled to announce Lindsay Geist as the keynote speaker.

Lindsay has served a variety of populations through different roles over the years. She began her career assessing individuals in crisis and leading groups at an inpatient mental health and substance abuse detoxification center in North Carolina. Lindsay returned to North Georgia in 2012 as the Campus Minister at The United Methodist Children's Home in Decatur (now known as Wellroot) where she provided support for young adults formerly in foster care, teenage mothers, and families experiencing homelessness. Lindsay later served at Atlanta Mission as a crisis intervention social worker helping women get connected with mental health, substance abuse, and domestic violence emergency resources.
