Fort Eisenhower lies in Richmond County, which shares a consolidated government with the city of Augusta and is commonly called "Augusta-Richmond County." The installation is very close to Columbia County, Georgia, and just across the Savannah River is Aiken County, South Carolina. The three counties are the hub of the Central Savannah River Area, an eighteen-county region usually called "the CSRA" and having a population of just over 720,000 people.
We're well situated between the Atlantic beaches and Appalachian Mountains, with a major river splitting the area and a 71,000 acre lake nearby. Opportunities for outdoor activities abound, and Fort Eisenhower and Richmond, Columbia, and Aiken Counties all have plenty of events, entertainment venues, and recreation areas.
To see what Fort Eisenhower MWR offers on the installation, please visit our MWR home page and check out all the choices. There are just too many to list here!
