Boarding

Incoming Boarding Information:

Hilltop Riding Stables requires a sit-down meeting with the facility manager to go over the boarding agreement and Standing Operating Procedures (SOP) information before signing any agreements or receiving an incoming date. The following documents will be required at the time of the meeting:

  1. Coggins
    1. Within 6 months
  2. Shot Records
    1. Eastern/Western
    2.  Flu
    3. Rhino
    4. Rabies
    5. West Nile
  3. Health Certificate
    1. Within 30 days of appointment at time if coming in from out of state
  4. Dewormer
    1. Boarder must supply and administer de wormer at the time of arrival at HTRS.
  5. Date and time of arrival
    1. Please provide an approximate date and time that you would like to start boarding.
    2. Vet Services must have Coggins, shot records, boarding agreement, and health certificate (if applicable) at least 10 business days before the incoming date.
    3. Arrival must be during business hours: Monday-Sunday between hours of 9:00-4:00pm.
  6. Halter and Lead Rope
    1. Please clearly label the halter and lead rope with the horse’s name and hung on stall door.
  7. Feed
    1. HTRS will feed what is on a feed card signed by the owner.
    2. All supplements and the replenishment of supplements need t be in an airtight bag (zip lock) and are the responsibility for the owner (HTRS will NOT mix or measure any supplements or medication)
    3. Barn feed is Purina Strategy 14:6 pellet or Purina Strategy Senior 14
    4. If changing over to HTRS barn feed we recommend:
      1. 75% owner feed/ 25% barn feed for 4 days
      2. 50% owner feed/ 50% barn feed for 4 days
      3. 25% owner feed/ 75% barn feed for 4 days
      4. 100% barn feed
    5. HTRS hay is Coastal Bermuda Round bales

Note: Availability of stall or boarding acceptance is not guaranteed. All boarding must be approved by the Facility Manager.

Full Boarding Package $475/month
Training Boarding Package $575/month
Pasture Boarding $325/month
Overnight Boarding
Horses may be brought in Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Must have Coggins, 6 months or less; Shot records: tetanus, rhino, rabies, flu, west nile and eastern/western. All horses will be wormed – supplied by owner.

Hurricane Evacuation Boarding $35/night
Hold Horse (vet) $40/hour
Hold Horse (farrier) $10/hour
Full Boarding Package
  • Purina Impact 12% / 6% (not to exceed 4 scoops per day)
  • Hay provided in stall only during inclement weather (day and/or night)
  • Water provided in stall
  • Quick pick of stall daily
  • Large pasture turn out sheds
  • Hay, water and salt blocks provided in pastures
  • Turn-out and turn-in 2 times daily
  • Lit round pen
  • Lit riding arena
  • Over 20 miles of marked wooded riding trails
  • Trailer parking
  • Storage locker
  • Wash racks
  • Playgrounds / picnic areas with grills

Stall shavings will be provided to the stall at the beginning of the winter season thereafter, additional stall shavings will be the responsibility of the owner.

Any additional amenities (special requests, services, medications, etc.) will be at the expense of the owner.

Training Boarding Package
  • AM and PM feed provided and dropped
  • Hay provided in stall only during inclement weather (day and/or night)
  • Water provided in stall
  • Quick pick of stall daily
  • Sandblast (1st Sunday of each month)
  • Quarterly worming
  • Hay, water and salt blocks provided in pastures
  • Turn-out and turn-in 2 times daily
  • Grooming and hoof picking (Minimum and Maximum 1 to 2 times per week)
  • Trim and balance (farrier) every 6 to 8 weeks

Stall shavings will be provided to the stall at the beginning of the winter season thereafter, additional stall shavings will be the responsibility of the owner.

Any additional amenities (special requests, services, medications, etc.) will be at the expense of the owner.
